Resolutions Get Me Every Time

| PS brush source |

So, here we are. It’s the first Monday, of the first month, of the New Year. I do hope everyone had a great and safe New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Weekend.

It’s that time of year when everyone seems to be making promises to themselves about what they are going to do or aren’t going to do. You know what I’m talking about… New Year’s Resolutions.

Me? I don’t make ’em. Never have. Probably never will. Why not? I think part of it stems from the fear of not being able to keep a promise to myself. Scary stuff right there. Another reason is, I personally do better with smaller goals. Smaller in scale. Smaller in time period.

Take for example my fall/winter promise to myself (and my family). I promised to make more Sunday crock pot meals that would be ready to eat, as leftovers, all week long. So far, so good. This past weekend I made some mexican chicken (inspired by Beth M. over at Budget Bytes, then took some of the stock from that to make a mexican bean soup–it was a delicious twofer meal.

Surely I’m not the only one who’s not into New Year’s Resolutions. Have you got a weekly/monthly resolution you’re working on?
