This past weekend I got to see my greatest friend from college, John Jacob, in nearby Vermont. He’s been there for some weeks now, performing in a production of Annie. (No, he’s not Annie, but wouldn’t that be fun.) It was a great way to spend a day off from work.
First, we had lunch at the Tip Top Cafe. We shared delicious garlic aioli fries and munched on sandwiches and salads. Then, the boys had a little dessert:
I was stuffed, but managed to sample both the Vanilla Ice Cream with “tiny cookies” (left) and the Flourless Chocolate Torte. I could have eaten both of them. In their entirety.
We headed off to the show where JJ was fabulous, per usual. The local kids who played the orphans were also wonderful. The performance was at the Northern Stage in White River Junction, VT. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend warming up in their cozy theater.
