Super-Sizing Gets Me Every Time

When I last updated you on the shop, I mentioned a huge Toyidermy project. Well, that project had me searching high and low for the perfect toy animals. And that searching left me with some unique finds—like these larger than life animal “statues.” Ranging anywhere from 6 to 12 inches in both height and length, they’re huge. And I think they’re going to be a huge hit too. Check them out in the shop.

I’ve also finally got tons of new animal business card holders in the shop—hippos, coyotes, gorillas, bears and more, like animal wine stoppers. They’re ready to be customized in your favorite color. Or they’re perfect little birthday gifts for bosses, coworkers, siblings or any animal lover.

To celebrate this full shop of goods, I want to give my blog readers a little something extra. All January long, get 10% off any order. I know, I know, it’s not much. But a small Etsy shop can’t give away the (animal) farm. Simply use code GMET10JAN when you check out.

Having an Epiphanie Gets Me Every Time

[tentblogger-vimeo 48300141]

Do you remember a while back when I went on and on about these great Epiphanie camera bags and how I was lusting after several one. Well, I finally have an Epiphanie of my own. I changed my mind several times and eventually decided on the Slate Lyric. Take a look. (I’m glad that chevron beauty from the video above wasn’t out yet, I would have had even more trouble choosing!)

What do you think? I plan on using my new Lyric to tote my Olympus E-PM1, which has been my main camera squeeze recently, along with an extra lens and some other accessories.

Action photos coming soon, I promise. Me and this bag have got some places to go and pictures to capture.

Christmas in July Gets Me Every Time

Have you ever celebrated “Christmas in July?” I remember it being a silly thing we did when we were kids, but it was never a real holiday in our home. Regardless, I’ve been pinning things I might want to make or get or receive next Christmas. Well, actually, dear readers, I must confess I’ve already started shoppingbecause of thanks to discount sites like One King’s Lane & Fab.com.

Are you ready for Christmas yet? Or should I just pump the brakes until we get through summer?

1 MAKE this DIY vintage-style marquee (but with holiday jargon) | 2 RECEIVE this epiphanie! backpack/messenger camera bag | 3 GIFT this West Elm headboard to my bedroom | 4 GIFT this Target Dress in every color (to my niece) | 5/6 GIFT & RECEIVE ebooks, like What Alice Forgot (per friend recco on GoodReads) & The Chaperone (per Amazon algorithm recco)

Bus(y/i)ness Gets Me Every Time

Hey guys! I know, I know, where have I been? Well between work and summer and filling custom orders for the Etsy shop, things have gotten a little busy. Not to worry, I’m here now.

The most popular order right now is these animal business card holders. I gotta say guys, they are even cuter in real life. And as more and more of my coworkers catch on, I have more orders to fill. There’s only like, oh 400 or so of us, this should be no sweat.

I’ve also been working on a little side project that I hope to share with you guys soon. It’s all about entertainment and dancing and singing and all that jazz. Get it? 5-6-7-8!

Lastly, if you’re looking for the shop and having trouble finding it, now you can type in Toyidermy.com and be instantly whisked away to an Etsy storefront filled with items made by yours truly. Check it out. (and just remember, custom orders are a go!)

Etsy Merch Gets Me Every Time

Things have been busy around these parts. We’re talking crafturdays galore. And what do I have to show for it? Well, lots of new merch over on Etsy. Here’s a sneak peek, starting with the above Dino Toyidermy.

And if prehistoric isn’t your thing, check out this sheep set.

This one, above and below, is one of my favorites. For the ultimate Alabama home divided, the Iron Bowl Flipside Toyidermy. It can be hung either way.

See, you can cheer for Auburn or Alabama. Or maybe, in the house divided, the losing team has to hang upside down all year?

Now, if you’re a fan of Glee, you might remember Kurt’s fashionable hippo brooch he wore this season. And that’s the inspiration here.

Last up are some awesome business card holders to jazz up your desk. These playful guys will definitely be an icebreaker in office.

Check out these and more great stuff in the shop now. Thanks guys!

Stocking Up Gets Me Every Time

Elephant & Giraffe Toyidermy

Happy Monday everyone. I hope your weekends were fabulous. The weather here in Boston was b-e-a-utiful and was definitely enjoyed. Aside from taking in some sunshine, I also updated my shop.

Toyidermy on Etsy

There’s some new toyidermy now available. (plus some more coming this evening!) And there’s some other new items. So, if ya don’t mind, check it out. Maybe you’ll find someone who needs a new home!

Gold Zebra Statue on Etsy

In honor of the new wares in the shop I’ll be having an exclusive one-item only sale later on in the week, especially for blog readers. Plus, word on the street is that there are a couple of giveaways coming up in the near future. More on that later. Here’s to another week!

Lions & Tigers Get Me Every Time

You might remember a while ago I mentioned that I opened a little shop over on Etsy. It’s got the same namesake as the blog, Gets Me Every Time. And today, I got around to adding a little more inventory to the storefront.

This time my lil guys are getting rowdy with some candy.

There’s limited inventory, so if you’re into it. Get your hands on these guys while they last.

Oh, don’t worry, they don’t bite. They’ve got a reputation as shiny as their coats.
